WaterHealth
WaterHealth International (WHI) is a private sector company and the global leader in providing access to safe, high-quality, affordable drinking water to underserved communities. WHI has developed a low-cost business model for the operation, maintenance and quality monitoring of community water purification systems i.e. WaterHealth Centers or WHCs. Using contemporary technologies including UV disinfection, WHI efficiently purifies available local water sources (both surface and underground) to WHO quality drinking water standards. WHI charges affordable user fees (for providing water purification services) to potential consumers, which ensures sustainability of the overall operations.
WHI has installed more than 500 WHCs across five countries which provide access to safe drinking water to more than 5 million people.
